A monthly tournament evening that starts at our table and ends at theirs — dinner, buy-in and hosted play under one booking.
Once a month we run the evening properly: dinner at Level 19, a walk down to the felt, and a seat in a hosted tournament with the buy-in already sorted. Players of all levels are welcome — the format is gentle, the company is not boring.
Non-players eat, watch and enjoy the rail. Private tables can be bought out for groups who'd rather play each other than the field.
Two halves, one booking, real cards.
A two-course dinner timed to end before the first hand — brisk, good, unfussy.
Your tournament seat is paid and registered before you arrive downstairs.
A host walks you down, explains the format and stays within reach all night.
Buy out a table for your group — dealer included, grudges optional.
Forks down, cards up.
Monthly on the calendar; private tables by arrangement.
Two courses, done in time for the first deal.
Hosted registration, chips stacked, format explained.
Tournament runs to a finish; the rail and the bar hold the rest.
Buy-in includes dinner and your seat at the table. Monthly scheduled tournaments plus private table buyouts.
I came for the dinner and stayed for four hours of cards I barely understood. Best night of the trip.

Tournament play is 18+ and runs under The Star's house rules. The format is a friendly freezeout — buy-in fixed, no re-buys, prizes in house credit. New players get a proper briefing; nobody is thrown to the sharks.
