Help & Etiquette

Everything guests actually ask

Grouped by topic and written plainly. If your question isn't here, the concierge answers calls and emails every day until late.

  General

The essentials

Location, opening hours, access and the things people check before they book.

Level 19, The Star Gold Coast, 1 Casino Drive, Broadbeach. Take the hotel lifts from the main lobby; signage reads "Nineteen". Valet runs from the Casino Drive entrance.
Lunch 12:00–15:00, dinner 17:30–23:00, bar until 24:00 daily. The chef's table runs Thursday to Saturday only.
Valet is complimentary for dining guests from 17:00. Self-parking under the resort is free for four hours; validate at the door for longer.
Yes, until 22:00 in the dining room. There's a real kids' menu, and under-12s eat free at Sunday lunch with two paying adults.
Fully step-free from valet to table. Accessible bathrooms are beside the lifts, and we keep a hearing loop at the host desk.
  Reservations & Dress Code

Getting a table, looking the part

Weekend dinners fill about two weeks out; chef's table is closer to a month. Weeknight walk-ins usually find a bar seat.
Smart casual from 18:00. No thongs, singlets or swimwear at any hour. Jackets aren't required; a collar is appreciated.
Request it at booking and we note it. Window seats are allocated by arrival time within each sitting, so early arrivals get first pick.
Tables of nine or more move to a set menu, priced on the price page. Above twenty guests, the private rooms make more sense.
  Casino & Gaming

The casino side, explained

No. The restaurant takes its own bookings and anyone can dine. Membership adds lounge access and gaming benefits, nothing more.
18+ for all gaming areas, always. The dining room itself welcomes under-18s until 22:00 with a paying adult.
Dinner first, then a hosted walk to the VIP lounge. Your $50 credit loads on arrival. Details are on the package page.
A $150 buy-in covers dinner and tournament entry. It's social, not serious: most guests are there for the food and the excuse.
  Dietary & Allergies

Eating safely here

Flag it at booking, not on arrival. The kitchen preps allergy orders in a separate area and the floor team confirms the dish at the table.
A full plant-based degustation runs parallel to the standard one, and most of the carte adapts. The dietary matrix on the menu page filters live.
Both, made in-house. GF fryers are dedicated, so chips and flathead stay on the table for coeliac guests.
Halal-certified proteins are stocked. Kosher meals are arranged through a certified supplier with 72 hours' notice.
  Events & Private Hire

Rooms, capacities and rules

The Vault seats 14, the Conservatory 24 seated or 40 standing, the Gallery 80 seated or 140 standing. Floor plans are on the events page.
Yes, with the banquet manager's sign-off. Nothing fixed to walls, no confetti or open flames; florals and candles in holders are fine.
Photographers and celebrants, always. Outside catering isn't permitted; the kitchen covers dietary needs internally.
Every room has screens, mics and a PA. The Gallery adds a stage and lighting desk; bring your own operator or hire ours.
  Payments & Refunds

Money questions

Visa, Mastercard, Amex and EFTPOS, plus gift cards. Amex carries no surcharge here, unlike most of the industry.
Deposits refund in full to 48 hours before the booking, converted to house credit inside that window. The full policy is on the refunds page.
For events over $5,000, yes. Smaller bookings use card deposits because transfers complicate the 48-hour window.
No. Cards work for dining, bar and ticketed events only; gaming spend is regulated separately under QLD rules.
  Etiquette Notes

The unwritten rules, written

A few things that make the evening smoother, gathered from ten thousand services and the questions that repeat.

Phones

Photos are welcome; flash isn't. Calls step out to the lobby, because the room carries sound more than you'd think.

Pacing

The degustation takes about three hours. Tell the team if you're heading to a show and we'll tighten the gaps.

Wine

BYO runs Tuesday and Wednesday only, $35 corkage, one bottle per two guests. The sommelier's pours are the better deal.
